”The Japanese mended their broken plates with gold. I was a broken plate, losing my relationship with the Lord. I was walking with the Lord, back turned towards His face. I didn't pray, I didn't worship, I never turned to Him. Despite me walking around carrying heavily my broken pieces, the Lord mended me back together with His blood.
One Sunday our pastor Du Toit (without knowing my heart or my story) told me that the Lord gave him a message for me. The Lord wanted me to know that I am worth more and that I am here with a purpose. I was called to be the salt of the earth, mended back together - not only because He loves me unconditionally, but also to be His vessel.
I have decided to live up to His purpose, not because I have to but because I desperately want to. I am no more an empty vessel but put back together to help others who feel broken by this world - to see that in Him we are never broken. Our cracks are just filled with gold as a symbol of how He moulds us.
